party on!

It's going to be a great weekend :) I can already tell! After work today I'm heading to Arizona to see the cutest little babies. No school Monday. And even better yet... I'm moving out Monday! Looks like mom and dad are going to be empty nesters sooner than they thought!

Blah

I went to the honors program orientation yesterday. I was nervous and didn't want to go. At all. I didn't know anyone going and definitely didn't want to go by myself. But- I am so so so glad I went. I made tons of new friends in the honors program and I can't hardly wait for classes to start! I just wish that I had applied for the housing scholarship... Next time. Anyway, I am so excited! For my colloquium class we are required to go to certain events throughout the year that are AWESOME! I am totally going to go to the Rascall Flatts concert! Yay for college! I can't wait to meet cute new boys :) Too bad there aren't any cute boys in the honors program. Major bummer. I can't wait for what's in store for me this semester!

summer dreams

Sometimes on days like today I wish I was here...
or here...
or even here too!
watching Dora with this little girl...
and painting this little girls nails...
and playing UNO with this little girl...
and swimming with this little boy...
and playing family feud with these two lovelies...
Am I missing my family right now?? No, not at all...

summer days

I am just loving this picture right now...

yummy!

2 words. Cake. Bites.
I am SO craving these right now. I could seriously eat a hundred of these in one sitting. I am way too tempted to just order them online! This may be bad that I have my own credit card ;)

Tokyo!!

I tried to post my pictures backwards this time so they would be in order, but then in went funky on me and they are out of order anyway- sorry!

We had a blast for the 18 hours we were in Toyko! It was crazy, but tons of fun!

The toilets. Yikes. Luckily they had a couple american toilets, cause I probably would not have squatted.

This was the group we went with- so fun!
Tokyo Tower! I would have liked to see it, but this was the closest we got.
The way over we were lucky enough to get business elite and it was terrific! I have never been so excited for a flight. I dreamed about it for 4 days before we left and seriously never slept. The seats laid out into beds that were quite comfy, they had a nice pillow and blanket (not the crappy little red one!) and you had your own tv that had well over a hundred movies. It was the best flight I've ever been on. I could easily do that again. However, the food was nasty. They brought us this appetizer and it looked repulsive (I don't even know if I'm using that right, but it did anyway) but I tried to be good and just eat it. First I ate nasty, cold couscous with dried fruit and almonds. Gag. Then they had nasty corn chili soup that I tried dipping a gross roll into and I literally gagged. THEN- there was this nasty meat. It was cold, looked gross and had mushrooms or something on the top. Mom told me it was chicken so I decided to try it. I ate one quarter size piece when I gagged again and mom finally told me it was duck. SICK. Never doing that again. It made me sick- luckily while I was puking my guts out, the bathroom was a nice one! Other than the nasty food the flight was awesome, I probably slept 8 of the 12 hour flight. Heaven. I could sit in those seats on every flight.
Fish market!

They had these funny little high chairs in every bathroom so that you can put your baby in there while you use the bathroom. Clever!

The gas stations are awesome- the pumps pull down from the ceiling!
The stop lights are sideways!

We found the Tokyo Temple!!

Tokyo Time Square
The busiest intersection in the world- but it wasn't really busy when we saw it

We went to the 45th floor of the government building and got this awesome view!
Mom's favorite part. She liked to call this Teen Tokyo. It was insanely crowded with weirdly dressed teens. But my favorite part- the street name :)

We went to this yummy noodle house for lunch!
