Sometimes I like to dress up like a burglar and stand outside the fence when Bella is playing. She just licks me... Let's just say she would fail as a guard dog. However, she can be quite vicious. Observe here...

You cute little burglar...She knows your scent and you can't get away with it. She is way too smart. She looks mighty vicious in that picture. Just keep training her and she will get the whole guard dog concept. She does pretty good most of the time...
